Introduction

The Heritage Sports Radio Network (HSRN) is committed to using new technologies to present nationwide broadcast of major college athletics of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Presently the Black Collegiate sports fan is a media orphan who has no outlet to experience the joy of athletic competition at HCBUs. The popularity for Black Collegiate sports is readily evident in the extraordinary attendance figures at football games. Through the creative use of satellite radio, Internet web casts, as well as traditional terrestrial radio, HSRN is uniquely poised to provide desired programming to an underserved but devoted target market.

The Mission
The role of HSRN is to serve as the national "voice" of HBCU sports, providing the African-American populace with quality, innovative, and reliable sports radio programming.

The standards of HSRN for broadcast excellence are the results of a culmination of decades of experience and education in the field of communications. As the "Heritage" moniker indicates, the mission of HSRN is fused with appreciation of athletic competition for the "games of today" coupled with a healthy respect for the 100-plus years of rich tradition of amateur athletics at HBCUs.

The Game Plan
The selected games will be classic match-ups from the Mid Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), South Western Athletic Conference (SWAC), Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC), and the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA). We will also include match-ups with Independent HBCU's and Tennessee State of the Ohio Valley Conference.
